Preparing for Vlog

The key to our success is the gifted artists that collaborate on our show.  In your blog you need to be sincere and vulnerable.  You need to touch the hearts of our Collectors and Viewers. Guidelines:

1. Begin by tell our audience why you decided to join our show.

2. Make your Vlog at least 20 minuets.

3. The rest of the blog can discuss anything you like about you, your life, and your artwork.  Please keep away from topics that will alienate an audience.

  • The pictures below shows a few examples of how artist have set up their camera.
  • Each artist included their artwork in the background. An important detail.

  • You need to provide enough light for your camera / phone to record clear video.

  • Notice we need Horizontal video (examples above are all in this format).  Please do not provide Vertical video.   YouTube video is always Horizontal.  Thank you
  • Most new smart phones have the ability to record great video.  But you need to provide good lighting for the phones to record good video quality.
  • Set up your camera / phone to record in NTSC format: 1080p at 30 fps (frames per second).  Cameras/ phones in the USA use this setting by default.  Look at the users manual for the camera to determine how to set the video to this video format for your camera.  This article explains the different formats Link describing different formats by country {Please do not use PAL or SECAM formats}
  • Best if your camera / phone has an input for an external microphone.  You can purchase a Lapel Microphone with an adapter to connect to your camera / phone, or external recording device.

Lapel Microphone

  • Most standard microphones on video cameras are not good enough to record the audio clearly.
  • Typically cost around $30 USD
  •  This example has several adapters to connect to different video recording equipment: Link for Lapel microphone with Adapters

  • Typically cost around $20 USD
  • May need adapters to connect tripod to your video camera

Step 1 – Create an account with Dropbox account.  It is free to create an account.  Use this link.

Step 2 – After you create an account share your video/ audio files from the interview.  There are many tutorial on using dropbox on YouTube.

Step 3 – Use this email to share your files with us:

We are an artist interview show and an online gallery.  We profit by finding collectors for you.  Our commission is 40% (you keep 60%) of the sale of your artwork. Include all costs associated (shipping and taxes) to deliver your artwork to American collectors on the sale price.

We are very impressed by you and your artwork.  We do not invite most artists to create a vlog for our show.  Instead these are the options typically offered to most artists.

Option #1

We ask artists to pay $100 USD for Instagram to promote their artwork. Instagram will only promote artwork to collectors if paid. This is a one time fee.  We will continue to promote their artwork in the future.  Use the hyperlink below to pay.  We will begin promoting your artwork to find collectors.  Instead of asking you to pay we ask you to provide us with a Vlog.

 Production Cost of an Interview

Our production cost for each interview runs over $1,000USD. We will invest up to $750USD for the cost of the interview.  The 40% commission from the sale of your artwork should cover the remaining $250USD. We will reach out to the collector(s) for your artwork and incorporate why they love your work in your interview. This is not a one time interview. When we find more collectors for your artwork we will schedule additional interviews.

Option 2

Artists being interviewed today did not want to wait and payed the $250USD of our production cost (we invested the other $750USD because we believe in them).   Use the hyperlink below to pay if you don’t want to wait to be interviewed.

Here is a great Vlog from a wonderful artist.  Notice the placement of camera, lighting, editing.  It is extremely professional.
