Make an Offer


When making an offer for an artwork, please use your best judgement and be respectful to the artist. Obviously, an offer that is considerably lower than the original price has less chance of being accepted by the artist.
 

 

IF MY OFFER IS ACCEPTED, CAN I APPLY ADDITIONAL PROMOTIONAL DISCOUNTS TO IT?

No. You will NOT be able to apply any promotional discounts on “Make an Offer” transactions.


 

IF MY OFFER IS ACCEPTED, DO I HAVE TO GO FORWARD WITH THE PURCHASE?

Yes. If your offer is accepted, with the exception of special circumstances, you are required to go forward with the purchase. Your credit card will be charged with the final cost including shipping as displayed to you on the offer form.

We ask, out of respect for our artists, to please only make offers on artwork you are ready and willing to purchase should your offer be accepted. 

Please note that although you can’t make another offer on the artwork, you’ll be able to purchase it at full price at a later time if it’s still available for sale on Rising Art Star.



    HOW MANY OFFERS CAN I SUBMIT TO DIFFERENT ARTISTS?

    You are allowed to submit unlimited offers to artists, however please only make offers on works that you are willing to immediately purchase at your offer price. 



    IF MY OFFER IS DECLINED, WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

    If your offer is declined, you are welcome to purchase the artwork at full price.

    Our Curatorial Team will offer you their Art Advisory services free of charge to assist you in finding a similar artwork within your budget. We encourage you to take advantage of this helpful service.



    WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ARTIST DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE OFFER?

    A representative from our Support Team will contact the artist immediately after an offer has been made. Our team will then provide you with updates on the status of your offer. Please allow up to 72 hours for the artist to respond.

     

    If you have not heard a response in over 72 hours, please send an inquiry to using the Contact Us form regarding your offer. Please be certain to include the name of the artist and the name of the artwork so that we may easily identify the offer in our system. 



    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE BEFORE I RECEIVE AN ANSWER TO MY OFFER?

    A representative from our Support Team will contact the artist immediately after an offer has been made. Our team will then provide you with updates on the status of your offer. Please allow up to 72 hours for the artist to respond.

    IS THE ARTWORK ON HOLD WHILE I WAIT FOR AN ANSWER TO MY OFFER?

    No, the artwork will not be placed on hold while you await a response. If you’ve submitted an offer on an artwork, please be advised that it will still be available for sale at full price, and another collector will be able to purchase the artwork at any time.

     

    Also, multiple offers can be submitted for the same artwork at the same time, so we encourage you to always submit your BEST offer first rather than wait for a possible counter-offer from the artist.


    WHY DO I NEED TO PROVIDE MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS WHEN I SUBMIT AN OFFER?

    We require your credit card details so that: 1) the artist has assurance of your intent to actually purchase the work at the price you offer and 2) we’ll be able to proceed with the purchase as quickly as possible if the offer is accepted.

     

    Please note that your credit card will NOT be charged at the time you submit your offer. We will charge your card only after the artist has accepted the offer.


     

    HOW DO I SUBMIT AN OFFER?

    Please send an offer using the Contact Us page. 

    Enter these details:

    1) Name of artist

    2) Current price of artwork and your offer price.

    3) Enter your shipping address.

    4) We will contact you to collect your credit card information and answer any remaining questions.

     

    Your offer will be received by a representative in our Support Team and we will contact you.
