HOW DO I REPORT FRAUD, HARASSMENT, AND OTHER ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR ON THE SITE?
If you would like to report someone for fraud, harassment, spamming, or any other violations, please contact us at Contact Us with an explanation of the incident(s) in question as well as any evidence, if possible, of the violation.
DOES RISING ART STAR REMOVE ARTWORK FROM THE SITE?
Rising Art Star is an inclusive platform where artists of all experience levels can post their art for sale. However, we MAY deem an image unacceptable on legal or other grounds (e.g. copyright infringement) and all images in question will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
The types of images that will be removed immediately are: 1) those we deem racially offensive 2) those that depict or otherwise promote the sexual exploitation of minors (persons under the age of 18). We strongly advise that photographers have their models (especially those posing in the nude) sign release forms indicating that they’re over 18, should the legality of the images come into question. Rising Art Star reserves the right to remove any images that are in violation of laws protecting minors or which may promote illegal actions against minors.
A more detailed list of general prohibitions regarding member content is in our Terms and Conditions.
WHAT QUALIFIES AS "SPAMMING"?
Spamming consists of sending a large quantity of identical or near identical messages to multiple members for advertising or promotional purposes. Spamming is in violation of our terms and conditions and may lead to the suspension or banning of your account without warning.
To report a user for spamming, please send an inform us using Contact Us providing examples of the actions in question.
WHAT QUALIFIES AS "ADULT" CONTENT?
Though this isn’t an exhaustive list, Rising Art Star generally considers the following to be indicative of adult content.
- Photographic/photo-realistic nudity, either full or partial
- Depiction of sexual acts
- The use of expletives (i.e. strong language)
- Images that may be considered offensive
Artists have been depicting the nude form for millennia, and Rising Art Star obviously supports and celebrates the representation of the human body in art. We will, however, take steps to remove any images that depict or otherwise promote the sexual exploitation of minors (persons under the age of 18). We strongly advise that photographers have their models (especially if posing in the nude) sign release forms indicating that they’re over 18, should the legality of the images come into question. Rising Art Star reserves the right to remove any images that are in violation of laws protecting minors or which may promote illegal actions against minors.
Our curators decide which works qualify as adult content, however if there is a work you'd like to call to their attention, please reach out to us at Contact Us.
